Art Project - Visitor Guide (via GoogleArtProject)
Just incredible. Beautifully executed and I’m impressed that Google gave the makers so much leeway to stray from their standard, white ‘n block colour design guidelines.
But, weirdly for a Google product, where’s the pan-site search? And it really needs a persistent nav. And you can’t open new pictures in tabs? Fuck’s sake. And too many dropdowns!
But this could be huge with the right development. A YouTube for the world’s greatest artworks.
(Incidentally, I’ve visited 5/17 galleries they’ve got on board IRL. Is that respectable?)
